I have been developing these unusual lampshades since 1980, but it was only with the introduction of low-wattage, low-heat, compact fluorescents
in the early nineties that the possibilities really opened up. Also significant was the invention of long-life, durable resins, which means that with
oil-paint pigments, these wax lampshades have an indefinite life-span, the antiques of the future - 'Tiffany style lampshades for the new millennium'
These bulbs last up to 10 times as long as conventional bulbs. They also use only about 20% of the electricity used by a conventional bulb.
If everyone used these bulbs then we could slow global warming.
